The Loan Process

There are quite a few steps between your decision to get a loan and your closing.  We follow a detailed checklist to make sure your transaction proceeds smoothly and efficiently from start to finish.

In a nutshell, the loan process involves the following steps:

you apply Online or over the phone, you will apply by providing basic information about:

  • your residential and employment history, 
  • your income and assets, 
  • your monthly liabilities such as car loans or credit card debt, and 
  • information about any properties you already own

we disclose 
We review the information you provided and request and review your credit report. Once you get pre-qualified, will send you your loan application disclosures including the Loan Estimate and the Home Loan Toolkit, and additional documents with detailed information about your loan.  The package will include the Checklist of items we will need from you to process your loan.

you document  You will sign the loan application disclosures and provide us with the items on your Checklist

we processWe verify your identity, employment, income, assets and liabilities.
We secure the third party documents including the title search, title insurance, appraisal, survey, homeowners insurance, flood insurance (if required), homeowners association resale certificate, payoff and other required documents.
We submit your loan package to underwriting to be approved.
We prepare the loan closing documents and order the funds for your closing.

you closeThree days prior to closing, you will have the opportunity to review your Closing Disclosure.  You sign the closing package and your loan funds. Congratulations!
